Background

When I was tortured at Mansfield Corruptional in 2012 and 2013, I attempted resolution through the hierarchs’ alleged methods of redress, only to find (not surprising) that every single avenue for challenging the system’s wrongs proved totally useless. I exhausted every single remedy available to me and even contacted the office of Governor Kasich and the legislature’s oversight committee (called the Corrections Institution Inspection Committee), all to no avail. The torture continued.

Concluding that the fascist police state was operating beyond all limits and reserving to itself recourse to ideological profiling and torture, I saw the need for a kind of direct action approach to hold state terrorists accountable. I drafted “BLAST! Blog: A Proposal.”

State terrorists who monitored all of my outgoing communication discovered the proposal and used it as basis for more pretextual disciplinary action to justify continuation of the torture regimen, but over time, the proposal got out and circulated…and it fell into the hands of faceless and nameless rebels who had the courage and determination to oppose the terror state and create and experiment in direct action, both to punish and deter crimes against humanity. When blastblog went online in 2015, it signaled to the fascist police state that its state terror is unacceptable, and signaled to everyone else online that resistance is possible.

Blastblog represents the dignity of rebellion. It is the direct action approach to taking the fight to the terror state and its organs, tailored to a world where asymmetrical information is power.

Because Ohio prison officials cannot locate, identify, or apprehend the rebels who have undermined their power and prestige through the creation of blastblog, the little tyrants of the prison complex have resolved to direct all of their hostility toward the originator of the idea—me. They have held me incommunicado for the better part of a year, harassed my loved-ones, initiated ridiculous and pretexual disciplinary actions, and have set the stage for the Ohio Adult Parole Authority to continue my sentence for 5 or 10 more years when I see them in July. All of this is undertaken as a desperate kind of leveraging against blastbloggers, an effect to coerce those faceless and nameless rebels to pull the plug on blastblog. State terrorists inflict intolerable psychological pain upon me, their captive, in order to force blastblog rebels to lay down their proverbial arms. It is the same tactic employed by all hostage-takers.

I have a pretty high pain threshold.

As state terrorists now escalate their repression in response to blastblog’s existence, and as they make clear their refusal to negotiate a reasonable resolution to hostilities—one that would invariably include their acknowledgement of having engaged in torture and their renunciation of that in the future—rebels can respond by either surrendering, which would provide the terror state a victory and permission to not only continue their criminal agenda but to expand it, or rebels can meet state terrorists’ escalation with an escalation of their own.

This proposal assumes the second choice.

Operation Fuck Ohio

The following, just like the blastblog proposal previously, relates a number of ideas that cannot be accomplished from prison, forcing me to find willing co-conspirators in the outside world. There are a number of components, from real-world resistance to cyber-warfare, components which can be undertaken separately and independently, or can be initiated as a kind of coordinated strategy. It should also be kept in mind that this proposal is written without any determinative information regarding what is possible, i.e., potential numbers of willing rebels, the limits of their participation, etc. Also, it should be pointed out that everything proposed here in Operation Fuck Ohio could translate to rebellion elsewhere. That is, everything presented is just as feasible in any other state or locale. I present this particular plan for attacking Ohio specifically because of the work already done in confronting prison fascists, the upcoming Republican National Convention in July that will provide a national audience for potentially embarrassing Ohio and the Kasich regime, diminishing its prestige and the prestige of hierarchy generally, and my own personal benefit from attacking the specific terror state that holds me captive and subjects me to repression.

Each section that follows is a presentation of a component that can be undertaken independently or as part of a larger strategy. Feel free to evolve and modify each.

Black Bloc Party

State terrorists’ absolute refusal to change their lowdown ways and instead heighten their repression appears to originate in part from their over-confidence; although their home addresses have been posted at blastblog for a considerable time, no actual harm has come to them. Their cars and homes have not been fire-bombed and they seem to take confidence from this absolute lack of any action. Rather than being deterred, they seem emboldened to escalate repression since they are not yet sleeping in tents or riding bicycles to work.

But, for the outing of home addresses to provide state terrorists a level of discomfort does not require illegal action. It is not a matter of fire-bombing-or-nothing. This component of the Operation Fuck Ohio strategy intends to fill the gap between fire-bombing and nothing, using those addresses in a creative way: Black Bloc Party.

Small numbers of rebels who are in relatively close proximity to state terrorists’ homes can dress up in their best and work in pairs, knocking on doors in the neighborhood where a state terrorist resides. The pairs would canvas the neighborhood, much like Mormons or Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In knocking on doors to speak to each home-owner, the pair would video record each encounter, perhaps with a cell phone. They may introduce themselves as volunteers for a group such as the Anti-Terror and Anti-Torture League of (insert city here). In their serious presentation to home-owners, they would ask if the home-owner is aware that right in that neighborhood resides a state terrorist linked to several crimes against humanity.

They would then present a pamphlet created by the Better Business Bureau and the local Chamber of Commerce, entitled, “How One State Terrorist Can Drive Down a Community’s Property Values.” The pair would ask the home-owner if any children from the local area have disappeared after playing too closely to the state-terrorist’s house, or if they had witnessed the state terrorist in his/her garage, using power tools to fashion torture instruments.

At the end of the presentation, the rebels would leave the home-owners with a second pamphlet from the same sources, entitled, “How to Drive a State Terrorist from Your Community Using Pitchforks, Torches, and Ropes Fashioned as Nooses.”

As they canvas the neighborhood, rebels can post flyers in public spaces with the state terrorist’s face on them and descriptions of his/her crimes against humanity. When finished going door to door, rebels can gather together on the public sidewalk in front of the terrorist’s house, dancing, and playing the Talking Heads, “Burning Down the House,” an anarchist Black Bloc Party—all recorded for online posting.

Such actions serve to humiliate and demoralize state terrorists, subjecting them to shame in their own homes and communities, exposing them to ridicule in front of their families and friends. While not the deterrent of fire-bombs, it is a deterrent nonetheless. Also, the video record of the events when posted online become a source of great entertainment for a wider audience, and serve to diminish the sense of power and prestige that state terrorists possess, possibly inspiring those who view the video to engage in acts of resistance themselves, acts of resistance that could certainly escalate over time.

Flying Monkeys

In 2012, the Army of the 12 Monkeys distributed thousands of pages of flyers and manuals throughout Mansfield Corruptional Institution, inspiring prison rebels to wreak havoc on the prison. Those manuals and flyers are still available online through links at anarchistnews.org and elsewhere. Rebels beyond prison walls can very easily duplicate the same kind of distribution with a small investment in a drone. Using a drone, rebels can drop thousands of copies of flyers into prison yards, encouraging prisoners to engage in rebellion and acts of sabotage. Particularly at level 2 Ohio prisons, thousands of prisoners are outside on the prison yards most of the day in the middle of summer.

The Ohio prison system has developed no methods for intercepting or neutralizing drones, so rebels can use one drone to pass over every single Ohio prison, dropping insurrectionist leaflets again and again.

BLASTing the CIIC

The Corrections Institution Inspection Committee was set up as a watch-dog committee of the Ohio General Assembly to investigate and prevent abuses in Ohio prisons. The committee has been reduced to a pom-pom squad, cheering on the fascist police state. They whitewash crimes against humanity and essentially facilitate abuses by giving the false impression that they are an independent agency really committed to curbing the abuses.

By the publication of this proposal, a roster of the CIIC staff will have been sent out for sharing and distribution. Undoubtedly, hacktivists and blastbloggers can use the information from these rosters to locate the personal information of the entire CIIC staff. But, rather than immediate posting, it could save rebels to notify CIIC staff that their personal data has been obtained, using that data as leverage to compel the CIIC to meet certain, specific demands. If demands are not met, or if they are not met within specified timelines, a certain number of home addresses are leaked to blastblog.

In this way, rebels exercise power over the CIIC.

BLASTing J-Wow

By the publication of this proposal, a roster of Governor John Kasich’s entire staff, roughly 70 staffers, along with their office phones, emails, and official positions, will have been sent out for sharing and distribution. This roster also includes the phone to J-Wow’s office, his fax, and his hotline.

Again, for hacktivists and blastbloggers, this contains enough information to mine personal data on everyone listed. Blastbloggers can then notify staff and assemble a list of concessions from state terrorists necessary to avoid the posting of all of that information. Since prison fascists were unwilling to negotiate a resolution, the conflict has expanded outward and upward to now engulf the governor’s office.

BLASTing the Ohio General Assembly

A roster of Ohio’s senators and representatives has been sent out for sharing and distribution. These rosters can be used by hacktivists and blastbloggers for data-mining.

Also sent out was a proposed bill for prison reform in Ohio, inspired by the Alabama Freedom Bill. In Alabama, prisoners struggle for passage of that bill by engaging in work stoppages and other actions. In Ohio, passage of the prison reform bill can be demanded in exchange for not posting legislators’ home addresses.

All law-makers can be emailed, notified that their sensitive data has been obtained and giving the General Assembly a deadline for passing the reform bill as it has been presented. At incremental deadlines, a set number of addresses will leak to blastblog if the bill is not passed.

This places the Ohio General Assembly into an uncomfortable and unresolvable catch-22. The only way for law-makers to extricate themselves is to pass a bill, one that otherwise never would have been passed, a radical reform package, and thereby relinquish all of their power to unseen and nameless rebels.

It turns the law-makers’ situation into a theatre, a public spectacle, a veritable hostage crisis whereby the powerful few are held hostage by popular forces.

Conclusion

In this ongoing war between blastblog and the state terrorists of the Ohio prison complex, state terrorists are proceeding as if they have already faced the worst-case scenario. They lack the imagination to see how blastblog could possibly expand the conflict beyond its current limits, and in its arrogance, the terror state has ratcheted-up the repression. Operation Fuck Ohio provides a number of strategies for rebels in the free world to respond to the state terrorists’ escalation with an escalation of their own.

The Black Bloc Party introduces into the equation a kind of deterrent that is currently lacking, an actual element of discomfort as a consequence of addresses being exposed—a discomfort currently lacking. This is only one method of inducing this kind of discomfort, of course. Other methods include identity theft, which would allow the theft of tax returns, one of the most ubiquitous identity-theft crimes today.

But, while the Black Bloc Party is not as sensational as torching state terrorists’ homes, it is certainly enough to change state terrorists’ current certainty that “nothing is going to happen,” and thereby change their escalation strategy. Also, it bridges the gap between “nothing happening,” and “fire-bombing their homes.” The posted videos of black block parties at state terrorists’ homes will undoubtedly inspire and incite further action.

The Flying Monkey strategy exploits the prison complex’s security failure and creates a continued threat of instability, statewide, plunging the entire system into constant and ever-present crisis. The results of the flying monkey strategy may be minor disruption at one or two prisons, or may end up becoming a statewide conflagration, widespread insurrection where prison officials at every prison lose control absolutely. Over the course of a long, hot summer, with just one drone, rebels have multiple opportunities to see what happens.

Expanding the conflict beyond the prison fascists themselves and targeting higher levels of state authority—the CIIC, the governor, the general assembly—create a number of forces and dynamics wherein those higher authorities exert greater pressures and greater scrutiny on the operation of the prison complex and prison fascists’ inability to contain this conflict. All of those greater authorities will be asking how Gary Mohr has allowed some guy in a level 3 prison to plunge the entire state apparatus into perpetual conflict with networks of hacktivists and militant anarchists.

But, more importantly, such actions, especially if taken together, serve to rob the State of its illusions of power. That is, blastbloggers would be exerting power over those who assume power and shattering the illusions of their invincibility and inevitability, puncturing those myths forever. With regard to the proposed bill containing radical reforms, its passage or non-passage is truly irrelevant given the potential for spectacle, inspiring the alienated and disempowered from every walk of life to imagine the possibility of exercising power over those who make the laws in a real and tangible way.

Operation Fuck Ohio is not designed simply to cripple Ohio’s state apparatus and present a new model of resistance in an age of asymmetrical information, one that can then be duplicated again and again, all over the world; rather, Operation Fuck Ohio, in a much broader sense, is a public and spectacular method for exposing the false mythology of state power, of the state as necessary, of the state as a force for good, of the state as unassailable. The state is none of those things, and Operation Fuck Ohio, undertaken during the lead-up to the Republican National Convention that will bring Ohio national and even international attention, can hold the very system of hierarchical organization up before the world for ridicule.

Operation Fuck Ohio can be the snag in the swizelization carpet that ultimately leads to its complete unraveling.
